The parameter used is the number of edges of each grain. This paper particularly emphasizes the correction of bias, which are of three orders : first, grain boundaries are skeletonized; second, the grains that have ail their second neighbours within the frame of measurements are selected; third, we develop a statistical method given by Miles to compensate for edge effects in planar sampling. A classical method is then proposed to test the dependence between the corrected histograms.
